У статті розглянуто важливість гідного вшанування Героїв Небесної Сотні, потребу меморіалізації місць пам’яті, пов’язаних із масовими розстрілами учасників Революції Гідності у середмісті Києва. Висвітлено історію проєкту Меморіалу Героїв Небесної Сотні, який зберігатиме пам’ять українців про боротьбу за свободу, гідність і права людини та за розбудову демократії в Україні у новітній період.

Abstract. The article is dedicated to the importance of honoring the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and commemoration the places of remembrance associated with the mass shootings of the Revolution of Dignity participants in in the center of Kyiv. The history of project of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes memorial is enclosed, which will reserve the memory of Ukrainians about the struggle for their freedom, dignity, human rights, and the development of democracy in Ukraine in the modern period.

Леся Онишко – історик, кандидат історичних наук. Працює у Національному музеї Революції Гідності з осені 2018 року на посаді вченого секретаря. Випускниця Львівського національного університету імені Івана Франка та Інституту українознавства імені Івана Крип’якевича НАН України. У колі наукових зацікавлень Голодомор, історія національно-визвольного руху на українських землях та сучасних протестних рухів в Україні. Опікується усноісторичними проєктами в музеї.
