We are thrilled to invite you to participate in the International Forum on Safety of Cultural Heritage 'War in Ukraine: The Battle for Culture' on February 8-9, 2023.
Almost a year has passed since Russia launched its full-scale attack against Ukraine. Russia's aggression mobilized thousands of volunteers, hundreds of organizations, initiatives and institutions in Ukraine and abroad to protect and save Ukrainian cultural heritage from war.
It's high time to summarize these huge cultural emergency efforts, update strategic goals, and outline action planning for 2023.
Thus, the Heritage Emergency Response Initiative (HERI) in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity (Maidan Museum) and a number of partners initiated this Forum.
The Forum participants represent museum, archival and library institutions, Armed Forces of Ukraine, rescue and support initiatives in the field of culture, international organizations, non-governmental and governmental aid initiatives.
